THE ROLE
CCL has been requested by a leading Oil & Gas Energy company to provide an Automation Engineer, based in the Offshore Engineering Department, to support and advance the EP Offshore Engineering work effort in support of the overall Offshore Project objectives. One year (renewable) contract on 28/28 basis. Excellent daily rates.
THE PERSON
Minimum 10 years experience in Offshore Oil and Gas projects. Experience in FAT of Control & Safety Systems. Experience of large multidiscipline projects. Experience in the SIL classification and implementation process and the application of IEC61508 and 61511. Experienced in the generation, review and approval process of design deliverables e.g. ESD Cause & Effects drawings, Instrument Specifications, Data Sheets etc. Experience in the review of the Instrumentation aspects of Packaged Equipment. Experience in the review and approval of hook-up drawings, JB termination drawings, loop drawings and other typical detail design deliverables.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Degree in Engineering or equivalent. High level of competence with all aspects of both field instrumentation (ESD valves, control valves, relief valves, pressure, temperature, level and flow instruments etc.) and Control & Safety Systems (i.e. DCS, ESD / F&G, SCADA, PLC). Adaptability and problem solving capacity. HSE awareness. Good technical, interpersonal and team-working skills. Working knowledge of all relevant discipline codes and standards. Fluent spoken and written English.
