Description: Overview: Petrophysicists work with exploration, production, and upstream technology teams and have been integral to client's continued successes worldwide. Petrophysicists are advancing conventional and unconventional assets with formation evaluation technology, especially through investigation into pore to flow scale reservoir descriptions. Approximately one dozen petrophysicists worldwide participate in all of the significant projects in client's E & P businesses. The opportunities for broad technical exposure in areas of seismic, reservoir, and operational petrophysics and to gain experience in diverse geographic areas and plays are abundant and occur immediately. Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities will be to provide reservoir descriptions, including insights into pore size distribution, wettability inferences, and fluid distributions. These descriptions will be based on integration of borehole and laboratory measurements and are usually conducted within an integrated project team. Integrated teams broaden the technical exposure and potential solutions available to petrophysicists. Participation in technology development opportunities either individually or through joint industry projects and university programs is encouraged. Qualifications: Education Level MS or PhD Major: Geophysics or Engineering Minimum 3 years relevant integrated petrophyscial work experience Basic computer and programming skills required. Experience with at least one petrophysical evaluation software (Geolog strongly preferred) required; Seismic and geologic interpretation and/or modeling software skills a plus.
