Owned and operated by BHP Billiton, Cannington is the world’s largest and lowest-cost producer of silver and lead. Located in northwest Queensland, our operation boasts an underground mine and processing mill situated approximately 800 kilometres west of Townsville, and a concentrate handling facility at the Port of Townsville. POSITION SYNOPSIS
Operating collaboratively in a small team environment, the Cannington Mine HR Team is responsible for providing the full range of professional HR services to the business overall, and in particular to managers and employees.
An opportunity now exists for a career minded HR professional to join the Cannington team. The primary responsibility of this position is the provision of professional face to face service and support across all areas of HR, and in particular, the support of line managers, supervisors and employees across a range of policies, procedures and initiatives.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
This is a great opportunity to be involved in a fast-paced, dynamic and diverse environment. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to deliver professional support in a broad range of HR functions whilst developing and maintaining effective relationships with all levels of the business. The successful candidate will also display an aptitude for systems and processes and experience with GSAP or similar HRIS packages. Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management are required.
EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
An attractive remuneration package, commensurate with your qualifications and experience, will apply. This role is site-based at Cannington Mine on a 4 day on 3 day off fly-in fly-out roster from Townsville.
