Our most recent growth project, Rapid Growth Project 5, will take installed capacity at our Western Australian Iron Ore operations to 205mpta by the second half of calendar year 2011.

Reporting to the Growth Manager Yandi, you will be responsible for providing the mining engineering input into the design and implementation of the new operational systems for the expanded mining operation. A key component of this operational readiness work will be the detailed 5 year mine execution planning to meet the ore production ramp-up. As the expansion project approaches the production stage you will fully transition into the existing site operational team, responsible for the ongoing operation of the expanded Yandi mine site.

In order to be successful in this role you will have extensive experience and demonstrated capability in previous mining and mine planning roles preparing operational designs, mine plans and mining operational systems. Your ability to exercise judgment will assist in auditing, improvement and monitoring of the existing planning systems to ensure their capability as the operation expands.

A strong background in providing design and mining methodology into operating mines, coupled with your desire to achieve in a dynamic and demanding project environment will be your key to ensuring your ultimate satisfaction in this role.
