Position Synopsis
We invite applications from safety conscious, highly self-motivated and team-spirited individuals for the position of Senior Service Technician within the Operations Services team. Working in a close knit team, you will be responsible for mobile plant and fixed plant operation.
Operating in a climate of continuous improvement and with safety at the forefront of your approach, you will assist in maintaining a clean and tidy work environment within the Port Operations. Working primarily on a Monday to Friday day shift roster, you will carry out the necessary preparations for work to commence safely.
Other key tasks will include:
* Promote and develop commitment to safe behaviour;
* Assist Supervision in leading and motivating teams and monitoring the performance of individuals;
* Ensure total compliance with all statutory legislation and internal regulations and policies;
* Lead and influence contractors to achieve predefined throughput and quality targets;
* Ensure Operations Services cleaning/mobile plant schedule is adhered to so that work is completed safely, in a timely manner and to the quality requested;
* Provide relief coverage to supervision;
* Ensure any breakdowns and faults are reported immediately;
* Carry out checks and inspections on plant and equipment as required.
Skills and Experience
To be considered, it is essential that you are an independent self starter with effective verbal and written communication skills. Experience with computer systems such as GSAP, FPe, and MS Office will be an advantage. You will have previous leadership experience in a fast paced mining environment, any previous experience leading services contractors will be highly regarded. A background in fixed plant or the operation of mobile plant will also be highly regarded. Your logical approach, coupled with effective analytical and problem solving skills are essential to meeting the challenges here.
