1SAP is a business change initiative which involves designing the end - to - end business processes and underpinning SAP solution. 1SAP is the single most important initiative we have embarked on. It is a business transformation project designed to establish common processes and common metrics across all our assets worldwide. Release 1 included Maintenance, Supply, Marketing and Finance functions and Release 2, which is in design phase, covers Operations and Human Resource functions also. The project implements 1SAP to all of BHP Billiton across 5 phases.
POSITION SYNOPSIS
As a member of the 1SAP Organisational Change Management, Learning and Performance Support Team, the 1SAP Core Learning and Performance Support (L&PS) Environment Lead is responsible for developing and documenting the technical learning requirements for the 1SAP L&PS environment. In addition, the L&PS Environment Lead will work closely with the L&PS Design Engineer to develop related technical design standards, processes, templates in order to support the learning and performance support activities such as eLearning design, test and deployment.
As the L&PS Environment Lead the incumbent will possess the ability to be creative, visionary and innovative with respect to the technical and functional requirements of 1SAP L&PS. The L&PS Environment Lead will also be highly energetic who enjoys challenging tasks.
Reporting to the Learning and Performance Support Manager, your core accountabilities will include:
• Develop a strong understanding of the 1SAP learning infrastructure and tools
• Articulate the overarching 1SAP technical infrastructure and requirements for 1SAP Core training infrastructure and tools based on the 1SAP L&PS Approach
• Socialise the 1SAP technical infrastructure and requirements with CIT L&PS Solution Engineer and Infrastructure resources to ensure agreement on the approach
• Advise and support the subsequent releases for 1SAP by engaging and supporting the CIT L&PS Solution Engineer with regard to the training environment approach
• Leverage core ERP implementation experience, sharing ‘best practices’
• Align activities with L&PS Deployment Lead and L&PS Design Engineer
• Ensure commonality and reuse of approaches and deliverables between each of the CSG/Asset organizations
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
As part of the 1SAP OCM Learning team, the successful candidate will have proven experience in a similar role. The role requires sound stakeholder management ability, a highly collaborative approach and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally. A pragmatic and pro-active approach must complement sound analytical and problem solving skills. Experience gained within large scale SAP projects would be ideal. Past experience with in designing specifications of SAP Training environments; L&PS infrastructure components e.g. web-authoring toolsets and in deploying a Learning Management System, eLearning and other training related systems would be ideal.
