Our most recent growth project, Rapid Growth Project 5, will take installed capacity at our Western Australian Iron Ore operations to 205mpta by the second half of calendar year 2011.
Position Synopsis
The Principal Advisor - Manage Shutdown will primarily act as an expert for WAIO on the subject of shutdown management, implementing and governing policies, procedures, standards and systems. In addition the role will also involve providing technical support and expertise to maintenance and operations on Shutdown Management.
Key responsibilities include:
* Develop, improve and govern Shutdown Management policies, procedures, standard and metrics;
* Develop and track shutdown key performance indictors and facilitate the sharing of best practices across the WAIO supply chain;
* Develop shutdown management tools and training;
* Chair and drive outcomes through the Shutdown Management Steering Committee (SMSC);
* Perform audits on the shutdown management process on site;
* Develop budgets and control costs for functional area of responsibility; and
* Collaborate with Integrated Planning, asset teams and Asset Reliability functional streams to align shutdown frequencies and ensure the effective use of scarce resources.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have extensive shutdown management and direct maintenance related experience, ideally complimented with a relevant tertiary qualification. A strong understanding of systems knowledge of maintenance processes such as work management, cost control, budgeting processes and maintenance strategies will also be imperative.
Equally as important are first class project management skills along with extensive experience with SAP PM module. As well as strong interpersonal skills to be able to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
