Nickel West is the world’s third largest producer of nickel-in-concentrate.
Leinster Nickel Operation is located 375 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.
The operation sources nickel ore from the Perseverance Underground Mine and the newly commissioned Cliffs Underground Mine before crushing and processing to produce a concentrate. You will work closely with key personnel and ensure that the Mining Fixed Plant assets are maintained to a level that ensures the ongoing safe delivery of ore to meet production requirements.

Think Purpose
Reporting to the Planning & Systems Superintendent, the Maintenance Planner is responsible for:
* Developing and implementing maintenance strategies, for implementation during weekly maintenance activities which enable Fixed Plant equipment safety, reliability and performance to be optimised.
* Sourcing resources for weekly planned maintenance activities.
* Preparation of weekly maintenance schedules.
* Ongoing review and continuous improvement of the planning and execution of weekly maintenance plans.
* Providing information and advice to supervisory personnel during the implementation of weekly maintenance plans.
* Assisting the Fixed Plant Shutdown Planner with the preparation of the DPO portion of the Fixed Plant Maintenance Annual Budget and 5 Year Plan.
Think Requirements
The successful applicant will have relevant maintenance planning and scheduling experience in a mining / heavy industry environment with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
You must be a self starter, have the ability to work unsupervised in a close knit team environment and be able to deliver on accountabilities.
Advanced computer literacy is a must. Relevant experience with the MS Office suite and experience in using a recognised computerised Maintenance Management System particularly SAP with formal GSAP module training preferred. Scheduling software experience such as MS Project would also be highly desirable.
Knowledge of maintenance planning principles and procedures is essential, as is knowledge of standards and statutory requirements applicable to fixed plant maintenance. Candidates possessing relevant trade backgrounds will be viewed upon favourably.
A current WA Drivers Licence and Police Clearance are essential.
Leinster Nickel Operation along with Cliffs has a clean shaven policy.
