We invite you to consider operating within an established maintenance management system, where your efforts will involve a high level of independent judgement. You will be expected to apply your expertise to identifying deficiencies, recommending enhancements, and improving decision-making by ensuring the full utilisation of our computerised maintenance management system (SAP).
Position Synopsis
In this role you will assume accountability for developing maintenance plans and schedules, thereby actively contributing to ensuring the planned performance and integrity of the fixed plant, at the lowest practical cost.
Your duties will include:
* Preparing detailed work plans that include personnel, plant, equipment and parts availability for the timely and successful execution of work orders;
* Delivery of a minium three week planned and scheduled forecast of work orders;
* Ensuring that all Maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with all applicable standards and regulations;
* Ensuring an accurate maintenance history is compiled and that the maintenance backlog is updated and managed;
* Monitoring KPI’s, and assisting with budget and cost control processes;
* Identifying opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency and cost effectiveness;
* Ensuring that the Work Management Process Flow is adhered to by all disciplines within the workgroup;
* Maintaining high levels of communication with team members and stakeholders; and
* Managing off-site repairs of equipment.
Skills and Experience
To be considered, you must have a Trade Certificate in the maintenance field, and a sound knowledge of Maintenance Management principles. A good knowledge of computerised Maintenance planning systems and packages, such as SAP, is essential.
Credible and committed, you display effective communications skills, crucial to motivating team members, and presenting plans and ideas in a clear and concise manner.
Location
This is a residential role based in Newman, a town of approximately eight thousand people. It has excellent sporting facilities that cater for a wide range of interests and age groups, a well-appointed shopping centre, and education services to senior level. Relocation to Newman is offered with this role.
