Position Synopsis
Reporting to the Principal Technical Information Coordinator, this position will contribute to facilitation and training in relation to our technical drawing and document systems, standards and procedures across the Iron Ore business.
The management of CAD standards and software will be a significant aspect of this technical role and will incorporate a variety of quality, compliance and training. Duties will include the issue and implementation of CAD software internally throughout BHBPIO and additionally to our EPCM’s and consultants alike.
As part of this busy team, there is a requirement to check engineering drawings to ensure standards are correct as well as updating and issuing new documents for the technical control group. Testing of new standards and your hands on experience will allow you to identify ways to successfully incorporate them for general use along with preparing and delivering technical training to staff. You will also be responsible for identifying, resolving and reporting data integrity problems.
Skills and Experience
To excel in this role you will have demonstrated project experience within the Engineering Industry and a proven, successful career path in drawings management. Your hands on CAD software skills in an operational capacity couples with an outstanding knowledge of standards is essential. Excellent communication skills, prior training experience, interpersonal skills and meticulous attention to detail are critical success factors in this role.
