Location: Wales Our Client is a coal company operating an existing decline-accessed underground coal operation in South Wales. The mine requires the implementation of current mining methods due, in part, to the past operations and available technology. The operation is a Continuous Miner operation and people with experience of such equipment and mining would be of most interest.
The mine requires some significant additions to manpower and an improvement in skilling across the mine structure. Due to limited technical/ mining skills pool in the region the company is looking at employing any Europeans with suitable experience in a mining environment.
Should Europeans residing elsewhere in the world wish to return to Europe and they meet the technical requirements of the roles they will be considered most favourably.
The company has an urgent requirement for a PROCUREMENT MANAGER with solid mining expertise of managing capital contracts, and maintenance contracts. You will be responsible for all procurement and a stores element. You should have previous mining experience and any experience of procurement in a ‘change management environment’ would be most useful. You will be an EU national.
A number of roles are available and the Client will begin interviewing from August onwards:
1. Mine Planning Engineer, underground Coal operations experience, including good proficiency with the major mining software programmes;
2. Technical Services Manager (maintenance, ventilation, coal haulage, power, water, etc);
3. Maintenance Trades People (electrical and mechanical) for fixed plant, coal washing, rotational equipment and continuous miners.
