Position Overview:

As a member of the Engineering Department, you will participate in technical activities related to the ongoing development and production of underground gold mining operations. You will have demonstrated the ability to assume increasing levels of responsibility and possess a strong background in planning, rock mechanics, surveying, ventilation, and longhole drill and blast design. The capability to work positively with a team of professional and technical people in a creative, energetic environment is critical.

Experience & Requirements:

• Minimum five years of progressive technical experience
• Geo-technical experience, with exposure to micro seismic monitoring;
• Professional Engineer status or eligibility;
• Ability to perform duties in a safe and efficient manner;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Strong computer skills (EPS, Vulcan, Access & AutoCAD);
• Prior supervisory experience would be an asset.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Strong written and verbal communication, computing, planning, and problem solving skills
• Ability to successfully obtain background clearance required.
