Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the OIM in the management of safety on the installation through communication and training activities, active and reactive monitoring, and implementation of the PTW system.
Principle Functions of the Position:
Carry out the FPSO safety induction program.
Plan and arrange training and exercises for emergency response teams.
Train and access new personnel in the Permit to Work (PTW) system.
Safety Critical Functions
Member of the Emergency Management Team
Experience Factors
Minimum 2 years offshore experience.
Minimum 2 years experience as a Safety Officer or equivalent.
Previous experience as an offshore Safety Officer.
Previous experience in administration of PTW systems.
COMPETENCE CRITERIA
Academic Achievements / Certifications
Good standard of literacy (English language) and mathematical skills
NEBOSH National Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health
Demonstrated Knowledge / Skills
High level of safety awareness.
Understanding of the principles of safety management, hazard identification, risk assessment and control.
Good knowledge of safety legislation and related guidance, Hazard Communication, Operations Regulations, Ionizing Radiation Regulations.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, guidance and good practice applicable to operations and maintenance activities, including lifting operations and materials handling.
