Post Grade 12 qualifications (Diploma/Degree) relevant to the role; Blasting certificate; Mine Manager’s certificate will be an advantage; At least 7 years open pit mining experience; Computer Literacy at skilled level; Valid driver’s license; Valid first aid and medical fitness certificate. Appointment would be subjected to a legal appointment; Contractor management experience essential.
Duties:
•Manage and optimize use of the Dispatch Fleet Management System;
• Project manage the Dispatch Improvement Project;
• Ensure consistent, sustainable and quality supply of chrome ore to customers;
• Ensure adherence to the main open cast mining contract by contractor and delivery of schedule;
• Ensure consistent supply of MMZ and PCMZ ore to the respective plants during steady state production;
• Enforcing MHSA, EMPR, LRA and other applicable legislation and IMS published SOPs, COPs
• Optimal equipment utilization and availability in order to achieve production targets;
• Controlling key parameters to optimize the crushing and blending of ore through the crusher;
• Oversee proper housekeeping on conveyor belts and crusher areas ;
• Reports to be conducted, i.e. weekly, monthly and quarterly;
• Production optimization;
• Budget control (Budgeting, Projecting, and Forecasting Cost Control).
