Perth based 9/5 FIFO. Previous experience of over 10 years anticipated with a high proportion in large scale open pit operations. Applications are invited from Tertiary qualified Mining Engineers holding a minimum of an Unrestricted Quarry Manager's Certificate of Competence recognised in WA., demonstrated experience in a large production environment utilising an extensive fleet of loaders and trucks and have well developed computer literacy particularly with Microsoft Excel, Vulcan and SAP is desirable. Those applicants with well developed leadership and supervisory skills will be preferred. The responsibilities of the position include leading the mine production team to achieve the production, maintenance, safety and environmental goals, develop the strategies to ensure effective co-operation and team work within the department and exterior groups, provide productivity performance data to the Mine Planning Superintendent and assist the same to develop capital and operational budgets for future mine production, recruitment of appropriate professional personnel and act as the Deputy Registered Manager during periods of absence or as required. This Iron Ore mining operation is in the Pilbara of WA and has excellent facilities included in the well appointed large camp. The reward for the position include a generous salary package.
