With an established presence and excellent reputation within the Victorian engineering market, this specialist Structural Engineering has consistently grown in size over the past 3 years. They have defied the odds and have enjoyed a increasing project workload in 2009 and it is now about to bubble over.

As a result, they are in immediate need of an experienced Structural Engineer to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis.

You will work closely with one of the company's principals and take charge of a portfolio of commercial building projects. Specifically, your responsibilities will include:

* Design and analysis of concrete and steel frame buildings
* Conducting site inspections and overseeing construction
* Liaising with architects, contractors and other project stakeholders
* Coordinating junior engineers and drafters
* Ensuring projects are completed to specified timeframes and budgets

As this is a senior role, you will be given relative autonomy to manage your project workload. Suitable applicants will have:

* A recognised Bachelor Degree in Engineering
* Circa 6+ years experience working as a structural engineer in a consulting environment
* Previous experience working on high-rise commercial building projects
* A familiarity with the design and analysis of concrete and steel members
* A comprehensive knowledge of Australian Standards and Building Codes
* Experience working on projects from conception to completion
* Excellent communication and time management skills
* A familiarity with SpaceGASS and/or RAPT
* The motivation to take on additional responsibility and develop their career

While not essential, being a Chartered Engineer and/or Registered Building Practitioner would be highly regarded.

We are seeking applications from talented and ambitious structural engineers who are eager to fast track their career at a leading consultancy. The salary on offer is negotiable and will primarily depend on your specific experience. The estimated salary package on offer is between $90,000 and $100,000.

Employed as a Senior Engineer initially, there is immediate opportunity to take on additional responsibilities and progress into a Principal role. Furthermore this is an extremely secure role within an extremely busy office.
