Location: Australia Barrick (Granny Smith) Pty Ltd is located 950kms north east of Perth and 23kms south of Laverton and has been one of Australia’s leading gold producers for the last 15 years. With continued growth in our underground mining operations and an exciting exploration portfolio, the projected mine life is 5 years based on the current reserves.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Mill Maintenance Scheduler on a 12 month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the successful applicant will be responsible for the scheduling of maintenance activities for mechanical and electrical equipment in the Processing Plant, Power station and bore fields.
Key accountabilities will include
• Proactive approach towards safe work practices and hazard identification
• Compilation of routine daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules
• Updating of maintenance records and management of maintenance files
• Liaising closely with warehouse personnel on spares purchasing and inventory matters
• Liaising closely with Processing personnel for production requirements
• Complying with statutory and regulatory requirements to ensure classified equipment is maintained as required
• Contributing to site safety management/programs/improvements
• Review backlog against defined criteria and planned jobs which meets criteria by allocation of resources, equipment and materials
• Contributing to site safety management/programs/improvements
• Source all required parts for planned jobs
The successful applicant will have the following qualifications/skills and experience
• Mechanical /Electrical Trade or Engineering Qualification preferred
• Setting up and maintaining equipment lists, BOM’s, PM’s, Schedules and work packs
• Current WA "C" Class Drivers Licence (essential)
• Experience in the maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment commonly installed in CIP/CIL Gold treatment plants and crushing circuits
• Experience with manual and computerised maintenance planning systems (Oracle experience preferred but not essential)
• Demonstrated ability to participate and work effectively in a team environment
• Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• First Aid Certificate (desirable)

• Awareness of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations
This position is fly in/fly out from Perth on a 8 days on 6 days off roster. Excellent on-site accommodation is provided. Recreational facilities include internet café, Foxtel, swimming pool, tennis courts and gymnasium. Telstra mobile and wireless broadband access is available.
