Senior Mine Geologist

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities include: In cooperation with Barrick Exploration, work to evaluate and explore gold mineralization near the existing Ruby Hill mine. Manage open pit mapping and collection of data relevant to geotechnical engineering, hydrology and geologic modeling. Ensure that geologic and geotechnical modeling information in the mine’s Vulcan software system is up to date. Manage estimation and reporting ore reserves and resources. Manage reporting of the reconciliation of production to reserves. Provide technical advice on grade control methods used in current open pit mining at Ruby Hill. The person selected for this position will be a key member of the management team of the Ruby Hill mine.

SELECTION CRITERIA

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: To be considered for this job, applicants must meet these basic requirements:

• Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in Geology preferred.
• Working ability in creating and modifying geologic models using mine modeling software such as Vulcan required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in exploration and\or mine operations required.
• Familiarity with the reporting of reserves and resources required.
• Ability to work within a team environment and possess excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required.
