Our client is a leading railway engineering and project management company with a number of large scale rail construction projects and exciting plans for further expansion.
They are currently seeking a highly motivated and eager individual to fill the role of Engineering Manager.
Reporting to the General Manager, this position is responsible for the control, development, management and co-ordination of the provision of engineering services to our client organisations to ensure results are achieved on time and on budget.
To be considered for this role you will have sound knowledge and experience in the following:
* Develop the business strategy to promote the organisation’s recognised engineering competence and market advantage.
* Select, develop and deploy engineering expertise to ensure projects are completed on time in accordance with budgetary and quality requirements.
* Plan, allocate and coordinate resources and projects in an efficient and effective manner.
* Develop all engineering standards, systems and procedures within the organisation.
* Develop and manages the financial resources of departmental budgets.
* Liaise with other members of the organisation, with project teams and with clients to promote the company’s market position.
* Manage the engineering function in a professional, efficient and profitable manner.
To be successful in this role you will possess:
* Tertiary qualifications in an engineering discipline.
* Significant engineering design and consulting experience, preferably in rail.
* Relevant management and leadership experiences, including direct line supervision.
* Demonstrated business acumen and experience in strategic planning processes.
