Our Client is seeking to employ a Mill Superintendent (Technical Services) for its state of the art process plant in Latin America. The incumbent will be responsible for the overall technical support of one of the largest Ag, Pb, Zn plants in the region.

Reporting to the Plant Manager you will be responsible for managing the metallurgical, process control & chemical laboratory groups. The role will require a candidate with strong people management skills and is likely to deputise for the Plant Manager in his absence.

To be considered for the role you will require:

* A Degree in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering, or Extractive Metallurgy.
* 10 years experience in relevant operations / research capacities with at least 5 years at a management level.
* Experience in a large scale Ag, Pb, Zn flotation plant.
* Good computing skills and a familiarity with DCS plant control.
* Strong team and people management skills.
* Experience in the training and development of process plant and metallurgical staff.
* Previous expat experience and an understanding of cultural sensitivities.
* Spanish language skills.

Applicants who studied at JKMRC and who have had previous experience in Latin America will be highly regarded.

This permanent position is offered on a single or married residential status or FIFO to most locations in Australia or offshore. An excellent remuneration package including; USD salary, benefits and business class travel will be offered to the successful candidate.
