POSITION DESCRIPTION
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise all deck and crane operations on the installation in a safe and efficient manner.
Principle Functions of the Position:
Responsible for all onboard lifting and deck operations.
Ensure the correct operation, inspection and maintenance of cranes, maintaining records of inspection and reporting any deficiencies to the Vessel Operations Superintendent.
Organize and supervise deck work and maintenance, and ensure that planned deck work is carried out as instructed.
Safety Critical Functions
Participate in all emergency drills with duties as determined by the Station Bill and Emergency Response Manual.
Experience Factors
Minimum 5 years offshore experience.
Minimum 2 years experience as an offshore crane operator.
Previous FPSO experience.
COMPETENCE CRITERIA
Academic Achievements / Certifications
Good standard of literacy (English language) and mathematical skills
Offshore Crane Operator license
Formal qualification in lifting, slinging, and rigging
Demonstrated Knowledge / Skills
Supervisory skills.
Good working knowledge of offshore cranes, slinging, and rigging techniques.
Knowledge of certification and inspection requirements for lifting equipment.
Awareness of hazards and risks of offshore lifting operations.
