POSITION DESCRIPTION
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure the safe and efficient management of production operations and process its duties.
Oversee the Permit to Work (PTW) system, ensuring that permits are coordinated between the Production Department and other departments and disciplines.
Principle Functions of the Position:
Optimize production, taking account of maintenance requirements and other constraints, so as to achieve production targets required by the Concession Owner and COMPANY.
Ensure that all process plants are properly monitored and controlled via the FCS and other control panels, and that the plant is safely operated within its design capabilities.
Manage and direct the work of production personnel, ensuring effective management of Control Room production-related activities and proper hand-over during shift changes.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Safety Critical Functions
Take responsibility for safety critical operations:
Area Authority for the PTW system;
Controlling ESD operations;
Operation of subsea wells;
Process Intervention and special operations.
Provide the OIM with advice and information in an emergency and assist in the coordination of emergency response, participating as a member of the Emergency Response CCR Team.
Take Command and lead the on board Emergency Response Organization in the event that the OIM is incapacitated during an emergency.
Experience Factors
Minimum 10 years offshore experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory position.
Previous experience with responsibility for hydrocarbon production operations.
Previous FPSO experience.
For degree qualified (Process Engineering), 3 years offshore experience is required.
COMPETENCE CRITERIA
Academic Achievements / Certifications
Technical Training to at least HND level
Degree or equivalent in Engineering / Science
Offshore Survival / Firefighting with HUET
Demonstrated Knowledge / Skills
Understanding of relevant requirements of Country offshore H&S and Environmental legislation, official guidance and industry guidance, including:
Hazard Communication, Ionizing Radiation Regs;
Legislation governing Waste Management and Pollution Prevention
Knowledge of the FPSO Emergency Response Organization and Plans. Escape, Evacuation and Rescue methods, including helicopter and standby vessel operations; alerting and SAR routines.
Understanding of the purpose of control systems and the causes and effects of significant alarm trips.
