Reports to: Offshore Operations
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide Radio and Telephone communication to and from the installation and to provide secretarial support to the OIM.
Principle Functions of the Position:
Operate and maintain the FPSO Radio and telephone station, and keep records accordingly.
Provide radio and telephone communication for crew and during emergencies.
Communicate with onshore departments when necessary, and act on their advice.
Safety Critical Functions
Aid the Emergency Response Team in the Emergency Management Organization.
Experience Factors
Minimum 2 years offshore experience.
Previous experience as an offshore Radio operator
Fluent in written and spoken English
COMPETENCE CRITERIA
Academic Achievements / Certifications
Good literacy (English language) and mathematical skills
State Registered Radio operator or equivalent
Offshore Survival with HUET
Demonstrated Knowledge / Skills
Excellent Radio and Telephone skills.
Thorough knowledge of relevant legislation and related guidance.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
