Mining Manager / Director

Our client is an Indonesian company focused on the discovery and development of significant high grade coal deposits situated on the island of Kalimantan. They are now seeking to employ a Mining Manager/Director to undertake the management of the company’s operational coal mine sites located in central Kalimantan and its exploration and drilling projects in east Kalimantan.

Your duties will include but will not be limited to:

* Determining all coal reserves.
* Life of mine plan including design.
* Strip ratio evaluation and economic high wall cut – offs.
* Long and short range planning for the mining direction of the property, surveying, statistics and reporting.
* Short term planning, mine economics and operating cost evaluation.
* Capital equipment and project justifications.
* Responsible for contract coal mining operations.
* Manage, control and lead the management of production team in the coal mine site.
* Work with stakeholders on support services (marketing, construction and engineering support

Position Requirements:

* Degree in Mining Engineering and Project Management Qualifications.
* 10 years of working experience in respective coal mine company.
* Have experience in managing coal production projects in Indonesia.
* Expertise in contract management.
* Commercial astuteness.
* Knowledge in Financial and budget forecasting including profit and loss responsibility.
* Leadership skills with good initiative person to direct & influence internal team members to reach company goals.
