Senior Maintenance Planner - Gold Processing Plant Fixed Equipment (12 Month Contract)

This Gold Project consists of the US$120 million redevelopment of an existing mine and process operation. The project is located in the south of Mali, approximately 30kms from the Côte d'Ivoire border and 300km south-east of the capital Bamako. The Client acquired the project in April 2004 based on the positive conclusions of a pre-feasibility study, and completed a feasibility study in April 2005. The operation has a projected six to seven year life with potential to increase reserves by development of an underground operation or by the discovery of new resources.

The Client is actively seeking Senior Maintenance Planner. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Reliability Maintenance Engineer and will be required to:

• Set up Mainpac maintenance planning system
• Recruit, train and develop Malian staff
• Import all equipment lists to Mainpac for fixed and for mobile plant
• Establish all preventative maintenance programs and maintenance record system
• Produce maintenance reports as required including contributing to the monthly operations reports
• Provide both short and long term maintenance plans and contribute to life cycle maintenance strategies
• With maintenance and accounts departments ensure all costs for maintenance are properly captured

Qualifications & Experience

• Appropriate and recognised engineering trade qualification
• 5 years maintenance planning experience
• Ability to use Mainpac maintenance planning software is essential
• Experienced with fixed plant maintenance planning (and knowledge of mobile, infrastructure and power generation)
• French speaking would be a bonus although company language classes will be provided. (All successful applicants will be encouraged to participate in company language classes).

Applicants must have a strong commitment to the ongoing training and development of their staff and be highly motivated team players.

This position is offered on an attractive single status FIFO roster of 9 weeks on x 4 weeks off with flights to point of hire. A competitive salary commensurate with skills and experience will be offered to the successful candidate along with full onsite messing and accommodation.
