Reliability Maintenance Engineer - Gold Processing Plant Fixed Equipment (12 Month Contract)

This Gold Project consists of the US$120 million redevelopment of an existing mine and process operation. The project is located in the south of Mali, approximately 30kms from the Côte d'Ivoire border and 300km south-east of the capital Bamako. The Client acquired the project in April 2004 based on the positive conclusions of a pre-feasibility study, and completed a feasibility study in April 2005. The operation has a projected six to seven year life with potential to increase reserves by development of an underground operation or by the discovery of new resources.

The Client is actively seeking a Reliability Maintenance Engineer. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent and will be required to:

• Be responsible for the planning section and condition monitoring

• Implement predictive and preventative equipment maintenance strategies

* Ensure that all maintenance complies with statutory requirements
* Participate in the continuous improvement of equipment maintenance strategies
* Ensure maximum availability and reliability of the fixed plant

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following:

* Mechanical Engineering Degree or Trade Qualifications in Mechanical Fitting with relevant experience
* A minimum of 7 - 10 years maintenance experience in a mineral processing operation
* Previous maintenance planning and reliability experience in a similar role
* MUST HAVE strong hands on characteristics as is not office based analysis work
* Previous overseas experience in a similar role
* French speaking would be a bonus although company language classes will be provided. (All successful applicants will be encouraged to participate in company language classes).

Applicants must have a strong commitment to the ongoing training and development of their staff and be highly motivated team players.

This position is offered on an attractive single status FIFO roster of 9 weeks on x 4 weeks off with flights to point of hire. A competitive salary commensurate with skills and experience will be offered to the successful candidate along with full onsite messing and accommodation.
