Our client is offering a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a newly created position of Maintenance Planner - fixed and mobile plant to join their highly successful team at Mount Rawdon Gold Mine.

Set in picturesque countryside in Central Queensland, the Mount Rawdon operation is located 15 minutes from the rural community of Mount Perry. The township is well serviced by all amenities, including medical, police and emergency services, schooling and quality accommodation options. This ideal position is also situated only a short drive to Bundaberg and the Fraser Coast, which offers a wealth of fishing and other recreational activities. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager the Maintenance Planner - fixed and mobile plant role will be responsible for:

* Implementing the new corporate MIMS Ellipse maintenance management system
* planning and scheduling both short term and long term maintenance of fixed and mobile plant
* organising and managing plant shutdowns
* providing assistance with preparing the maintenance budget
* taking responsibility for the maintenance system within MIMS Ellipse

The successful applicant will have the following qualifications and skills:

* Trade Qualifications in an Engineering discipline - either mechanical or electrical
* Maintenance Planning experience within the resources or related industry
* Exposure to MIMS Ellipse or other CMMS is a must
* High level of competency with MS Office applications
* Ability to communicate across various levels and work autonomously
* Strong and demonstrable leadership ability

Ideally you will have a minimum of 10 years maintenance experience in mining or similar heavy industry with at least 5 years working as a maintenance planner, and will have demonstrated skills in report writing, spreadsheets, costing systems, cost control.

This role is being offered either as a permanent residential position in Mount Perry or district and working a 5 days on 2 days off or similar roster to meet operational requirements with specific conditions and details of the remuneration package discussed at interview stage or as a temporary contract position with a salary package of around AUD$120K negotiable and a commute roster (within Queensland) with specific conditions of employment discussed at interview stage.
