Our client is one of the world's leading multi-disciplinary engineering and construction groups with an exceptional track record in the design and delivery of large-scale subsea projects. A strong presence in the US, UK and Australasia allows our client the ability to tackle major international projects whilst providing it's client with strong local support and knowledge. On our client's behalf, Hays Oil & Gas is currently looking to recruit a Materials/Corrosion Engineer to act as Lead for a major subsea project. Acting as technical lead, team manager and client focal point, this role carries with it significant responsibility and autonomy. It is anticipated that the successful applicant will posses a relevant bachelors degree, such as materials, Metallurgy or Corrosion Engineering together with a strong track-record with a design consultancy or operating company. You will be leading a multi-disciplinary team and will be expected to be able top provide technical leadership in materials selection, corrosion assessment, integrity management, welding and inspections. Strong ability in all aspects of subsea materials engineering is essential to your success in this role. As client interface, you will also be required to hold regular project meetings to discuss the client's requirements and to produce and review technical specifications and designs. Solid project management skills are also important, as you will be also responsible for reviewing your team's progress, signing off on reports and for ensuring that key deliverables are met. This role is offered on a staff basis and the client is willing to offer relocation and visa sponsorship for the right applicant.
