A Toronto-based gold producer would like to continue its expansion and diversification by adding a Regional Exploration Manager to its key team looking to grow the company through exploration and the acquisition of advanced gold opportunities in Central Asia. The Exploration Manager - Turkey will be responsible to manage and direct the efforts on the company?s advanced gold opportunities Turkey. They will initiate and supervise exploration programs, make appropriate recommendations to senior management and build strong relationships with the Government agencies and other interested parties.
The successful candidate will have 10-15+ years experience in managing exploration and development operations, project evaluations, assessing advanced gold properties and feasibility studies. A degree in Geology, Geological Engineering or equivalent. Knowledge of gold deposit models, resource estimation techniques, mining and metallurgy techniques. Ideally international experience, especially in Central Asia and/or Turkey. Knowledge of MapInfo, Gemcom or other database and evaluation software packages would be strong assets. A proven ability to operate effectively in international environments and cultures.
This position will be an expatriate position located in Turkey with travel to sites and the Toronto head office as needed.
