Teck Coal is the world's second largest exporter of metallurgical coal, supplying high-quality coal products to the international steel industry. Our Coal Operations have immediate openings for: Loss Prevention Officers
Reporting to the Safety Supervisor, the Loss Prevention Officers are responsible for matters related to health, safety and site security.
Loss Prevention Officers administer first-aid, provide overall site protection including fire systems, control access and egress, perform workplace monitoring, and participate in awareness initiatives and health and safety program education. Candidates are expected to have demonstrated interest in the field through education, experience or a combination thereof. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word are essential.
As an individual interested in this position you are conscientious and have good attention to detail. You are able to accurately complete reports and to perform sampling and monitoring duties, error free. You function best in a high-performance atmosphere and respond well in times of crisis. You hold a minimum OFA Level III or EMP certification and will work 4X4 shifts in a variety of environmental conditions. A high school diploma or GED, and a valid Class 5 driver's license are required. Teck Coal offers an excellent salary and benefits package. Our organization is committed to work life balance.
