Our client is a large multi-disciplined mining house with sustainable expansion plans.
There is an opening for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join the team and provide operational geotechnical management across this underground coal mine in the Bowen Basin, QLD.
This is a senior Geotechnical position and you will manage a team therefore strong interpersonal skills and leadership ability are a must.
Key responsibilities are to provide information and advice on short to medium term geotechnical issues through:
- Auditing and analysis of design
- Hazard identification and planning
- Continuous improvements to the mining operation
- Optimization of operational outcomes complying with geotechnical best practice standards
To be a successful Senior Geotechnical Engineer you will have tertiary qualifications, strong mining software skills, and a highly analytical mind with a substantial underground coal background that will enable you to interpret results and provide expert advice.
Please Note: You must have Underground Experience.
You will be remunerated competitively and have career progression opportunities. This is a senior management position and you will be an integral and respected figure on site.
