Selinsing Gold Mine Manager Sdn Bhd is a subsidiary of Polar Potential Sdn. Bhd., which is owned by Monument Mining Limited, a Vancouver-based, publicly listed mineral exploration and prospective gold mining company.

Located in Kuala Lipis Pahang, we are operating a 400,000 tonnes per annum throughput mill for gold production. We have an opening for the following position.

PROJECT ENGINEER
(Pahang - Kuala Lipis)

Responsibilities:
Under guidance of the General Manager, organises, coordinates and maintains the project controls function. Assists General Manager with scheduling, cost control, estimating, and analysis expertise. Provides resource projections, progress charts, performance curves, weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting, to ensure that the General Manager has an accurate current picture of the overall status and projected outcome. Project Engineer must suggest corrective actions to mitigate cost and schedule impacts and have intimate and comprehensive familiarity with the construction project contracts and scopes of work.
* Assists in developing and implementing Project Controls tools in accordance with established standards and procedures.
* Integrates resources for construction and procuction schedules.
* Works with the Project Team to implement and perform timely reviews and establish monitoring procedures and systems for Project Management.
* Analyzes and reviews project controls data vertically by programs and horizontally by project type. Makes recommendations for action.
* Develops the project standard operating procedures, status reports and stakeholder reporting.
* Responsible for preparation, revision, and update; preparation and implementation of project schedules; and resource planning, analysis, and reporting.
* Responsible for cost analysis, updating, control, and thorough reporting.
* Coordinates Project Controls activities between the home office and the field site.
* Inform General Manager if scope changes or any schedule delays on the critical path items and estimated effect on project end date.
* Keeps the General Manager informed of the impact of actual construction and production changes or schedule delays and costs Vs budget/plan on critical activities as they relate to forecast milestones.
* Develops the most economical method of overcoming schedule problems to assist General Manager at arriving at a decision.
* Establish and maintain a good working relationship with the Project Team and contractor staff.
* Co-ordinate with Project Team for construction and production administration duties and general project controls efforts.
* Other various and miscellaneous Duties as directed by the General Manager.

Requirements:
* Must have a Bachelors degree in Engineering.
* Must have at least 15 years of experience in the project engineering and controls, construction and production management or an engineering related field.
* Must be able to analyze costs and schedules and incorporate into an overall program master level schedule and program budget.
* Must possess above average computer skills and a demonstrated ability to quickly master new software programs.
* Ability to work independently and develop creative solutions to scheduling problems.
* Primavera and/or MS Project is required
* MS Office proficiency is required
