Our client, a mining company in the Middle East, currently requires a Mine Planning Engineer to work on a well established underground gold mine. Candidates will have a degree in Mining Engineering and must be computer literate, preferably in Whittle and SURPAC software.
The successful candidate will plan and design the mine layout and equipment to ensure ore extraction rates are maintained and to ensure mine is designed safely. They will supervise the drafting of maps and plans, both manually and via AutoCAD or Surpac, and supervise and coordinate the surveying. Duties will also include supervising the activities of assigned Mine Engineering personnel, performing cost analysis for all mining activities, analysing and compiling monthly and yearly statistical production reports for Management’s review.
This is a single status position with accommodation/meals provided.
