Principal Petrophysicist

An opportunity for you to make your mark in this critical role has arisen. As the Principal Petrophysicist on one of our key LNG developments, your main responsibilities will include:

In consultation with the Field subsurface team you will define the work scope, schedule and direct the work of the Woodside Petrophysicists working on the asset LNG project, and define the work scope, schedule and monitor / supervise consultant activities for Field petrophysical studies
* Provide input into the business plan and budgets regarding petrophysical studies and activities for the asset
* Accountable for petrophysical studies budget.
* Deliver the strategic targets agreed for the subsurface team in terms of study commitments and contribution to key milestone reviews
* Develop annual performance agreements, conduct periodic and annual performance reviews, recommend training and personal development / promotions for members of the petrophysical team in the asset
* Coordinate technical meetings / reviews within Woodside and with Joint Venture Partners on petrophysics
* Identify and evaluate new technologies and study opportunities which will enhance the value of the project
* Recommend petrophysical / geological data acquisition opportunities, new technology applications and technical services
* Provide petrophysical input in the preparation of fully integrated subsurface static modelling efforts
* Supervise and assure the preparation and quality of the project petrophysical reports. Prepare recommendations for additional analysis and studies.
* Ensure timely distribution of approved petrophysical reports to Joint Venture Partners
* Maintain and improve industry contacts
* Play an active part in the subsurface management team
* Create a high morale, high productivity Petrophysics team that achieves stretch targets
