Location: Saudi Arabia Position Description: Geologist engaged in reservoir characterization studies of Jurassic carbonate reservoirs. Ability to be a field-reservoir development geologist who can perform well location assessment, well trajectory planning for highly deviated and horizontal wells, develop subsurface well prognosis estimates, determine well requirements and data acquisition including logs, cores, well tests and other subsurface information. Ability to work effectively and cooperatively within multidisciplinary teams of other professionalism all aspects of field development, reservoir characterization and reservoir management. Core description, stratigraphic correlation and interpretation of logs and core data and conceptual modeling are all part of the reservoir characterization process. Experienced in data integration of static and dynamic data toward constructing a deterministic geological model. Perform formation evaluation studies integrating available wire line logs, borehole image log, core data and any other supplemental information.
Selection Criteria: Solid background in development geology and reservoir characterization is a necessity. Comprehensive knowledge of subsurface mapping, cross section construction and geocellular modeling are a must. 3D seismic interpretation experience is a definite plus. Candidate should be fluent in at least one suite of industry software for reservoir characterization (eg. LandMark or GeoFrame) and a familiarity with WellCad, Geolog and other niche software is a particular asset. Experience in reserves estimates, core description, petrography or petrophysics is an advantage.
