Position Description

Position Purpose:
Assist with the administration of all coal sales activity (both domestic and international) beginning with receipt of a request for proposal from a customer until conclusion, successful execution of a coal supply agreement (CSA).

  
Principal Accountabilities: 

• Monitor proposals and ensure they are entered and tracked accurately and timely. Verify all proposals are approved in accordance with corporate policies. Distribute reports related to proposal activity and approval statuses. 
• Assist Sales in drafting CSAs. Reviewing CSAs received and identify less than favorable language. Provide proposed indices and prepare escalation exhibits to be used in CSAs in an effort to hedge cost exposure. Ensure all CSAs are approved in accordance with corporate polices and all documents (including approvals) are stored electronically. Maintain and distribute Unsigned / Unapproved report. 
• Upon execution of a CSA provide Contract Maintenance with report identify potential contract alarms. On a monthly basis meet with Contract Maintenance and Sales Accounting and providing details of new executed CSAs. 
• Participate in quarterly Contract Language Committee meetings. Maintain contract language matrix used to evaluate all CSAs. 
• Assist with creation and approval of proposals and CSAs in contract management system. Identify metrics to judge efficiency of process, such as evaluate and provide improvements to the length of time it takes to complete process (proposal through executed CSA) and identify areas for improvement.
