Jumbo Operators Various Sites across Canada
DEPARTMENT: Site
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
In coordination with other crew members the Jumbo Operator follows job procedures and regulations including operating excavating equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
General duties and responsibilities include:
 Set up and operate drills and drilling machines to produce a designated pattern of blasting holes.
 Ensure that all equipment is adequately provided with operating supplies throughout the shift.
 Perform maintenance and repairs in the field.
 Work closely with other development crew members to create and maintain a synergy required to accomplish the shift lineup in the cycle.
 Understand the company Health and Safety policies and works in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
 Utilize the 5 point safety system as specified within the site safety management system.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Full Basic Common Core
Experience: 3 years related work experience.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
 WHMIS
 Fall Arrest
 Lifesaver TM-60 (self rescuer)
 Registration in Common Core
