GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION 

Position duties will include but not be limited to: Maintaining all tires on mine equipment, including passenger light vehicles and all off road vehicles; maintaining correct air pressures and tread depths; inspecting and removing worn or failed tires and installing replacement tires; repairing any and all repairable tires; other duties as assigned. 

SELECTION CRITERIA 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: To be considered for this job, applicants must meet these basic requirements: 

• Basic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics required. 
• Two years experience with mobile equipment tire repair and service preferred. 
• Ability to work safely and effectively with minimal supervision required. 
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of people required. 
• Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this job required. 
• Experience handling tires preferred. 
• Ability to accomplish strenuous physical labor under all weather conditions required. 
• Lift at least 50 lbs. required. 
• Proven safe work record with belief and value seen in courageous leadership model required. 
• Ability to be an initial team member in a growing, fast paced environment, and support team in attainment of safety, environmental, equipment protection and production goals with a proven safety record required. 
• Housekeeping standards are maintained to a high level required. 
• Good written and verbal communication skills required.
