Responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Identify qualified sources of supply for goods and services;
• Conduct market intelligence to optimize pricing and the selection of goods and services;
• Prepare bid packages, evaluate proposals and make award recommendations;
• Negotiate and execute agreements;
• Effectively manage the procurement of goods or services and the respective supplier relationships;
• Work effectively in a team environment and with all levels of leadership;
• Apply policy/practices that support the purchase and supply of goods and services;
• Act as single point of contact for trans-border shipments.

Qualifications:

• Level 1 – PMAC or equivalent;
• Degree or Diploma in Business;
• 3 – 5 years in Purchasing field with a Canadian Oil & Gas Company;
• Experience with RFP’s and RFQ’s;
• Experience managing vendor performance to contracts;
• Previous experience with logistics is considered a strong asset;
• Experience in contract negotiations coupled with strong analytical abilities;
• Excellent communication skills, written and oral;
• Strong planning and organizing skills;
• Self-motivated and adaptable.
