Salva Resources is building our global capability and now has an excellent career opportunity for an experienced Senior Mining Engineer to help develop this business unit. Salva assists clients with resource investments and the execution of geological and mine planning analysis required to determine the potential of resources for strategic supply and investment plans. Salva undertake all the necessary on the ground activities to progress a resource investment. 

The successful applicant would ideally have experience with, but not limited to:

• Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering and preferably financial qualifications;
•  Minimum 4 years coal based mining engineering experience, with at least 2 years in Queensland;
• Experience working as part of a responsive and proficient technical services team;
• Developing strategic long-term, medium and short-term planning and mining engineering activities;
• Conducting due diligence and project reviews;
• Project Management;
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and report writing skills;
• Computer literacy and proficiency in widely used mining software such as XPAC, Xact, Vulcan or Minescape; and
• Ability to work in Australia.

This Brisbane based role requires someone who has extensive experience in mining operations and project planning with exposure to the Queensland Coal industry.
