Job Description: AREVA is seeking an Industrial Engineering Manager for our Canberra location in Meriden, CT. Responsibilities and duties include:
- Manage and supervise a staff of engineers and technicians responsible for the flow of product through the manufacturing floor.
- Industrialization of individual design projects and for the integrity and quality of new and existing manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Maintain the flow of Products in manufacturing.
- Develop and manage our test strategies for products.
- Develop and direct department plans and objectives.
- Delegate project and work assignments.
- Optimize use of technical resources.
- Review and rate subordinates.
- Motivate, coach and advise subordinates.
- Plan and schedule Industrial tasks.
- Develop Test definitions and specifications.
- Monitor performance - technical progress, schedules and costs.
- Keep abreast of technological advances and identify new products.
- Develop, support, and maintain product documentation.
- Provide sales, customer service and production support.
- Analyze "cost of goods" and Industrial investments.
- Assist in planning and preparing Industrial strategies.
- Manager the transition of products into our manufacturing site.

- B.S. degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or similar discipline, or 6+ years engineering related work experience may substitute for formal education.
- Two or more years of experience in an engineering design & development position with project/group management responsibility.
- Ability to set goals and keep efforts properly focused.
- Effective technical and administrative judgments.
- Ability to promote subordinate development through effective feedback and support.
- Possess oral and written communication skills.
- Interface effectively with other departments.

- Basic Electronics Test Engineering experience.
- Familiarity with nuclear spectroscopy applications and related electronics.
