Maintenance Coordinator - Long Term Planning – Dawson Mine

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will deliver planning services for the Engineering and Maintenance Department by ensuring the development of accurate and timely programmed maintenance forecast plans. The role is responsible for the Mobile Maintenance Planning Team including two Maintenance Planners.  As part of the role you must ensure that the maintenance activities of all mobile assets align with the maintenance budget and mine production plan. You will also collaborate with managers and superintendents to identify improvement opportunities for operations and maintenance. The core priority of this role is to apply disciplined and proven methods of work management to develop a fit-for-purpose long term maintenance plans and schedule, which is resourced and communicated to ensure assets are maintained at optimum levels for the mine.

As the successful applicant, you will possess relevant trade qualifications or degree/advanced diploma in Engineering or Maintenance Management. Experience and exposure to HME and mining support equipment will be highly regarded. Your ability to focus on maintenance costs, workplace efficiency and your commitment to Zero Harm will be crucial to your success in the role. Previous maintenance planning experience (preferably within Coal) and CMMS system experience (Ellipse preferred) will be essential. You will be able to use your sound maintenance and management experience as well as your interpersonal and communication skills to influence and deliver programmed maintenance plans and schedules. Asset costing and budgeting experience within heavy industry, exceptional communication skills and a passion for continuous improvement will be essential.
