Aker Solutions office in Gothenburg is focusing on engineering, analysis and design of subsea equipment as well as project management. We deliver advanced state of the art subsea systems on depths down to 3000 meters. We are driven, young and highly competent team and our goal is to attract more of the best engineers to participate in Aker Solutions’ global engineering network. Responsibilities and tasks
• Perform linear and non-linear FE analysis to support projects and product groups within Tie-in & Structures. • Participate in project & product groups to develop new successful product- and system solutions within the subsea business. • Participate in testing activities on fabrication sites together with customers, fabricators and subcontractors. • Review of calculation reports, both internal and external, within the department.
Qualifications & personal attributes
• Theoretical education as M.Sc. or higher in relevant engineering discipline. • Knowledge of Abaqus FEA tool or equivalent and hand calculations are mandatory. • Excellent communication skills (both in Swedish and English). • Ability to demonstrate initiative and assertiveness. • Experience of applicable Subsea standards and products are preferred. • Be structured in his/her daily work.
