Reporting to the Shutdown Superintendent, the Mechanical and Electrical Shutdown Planners will develop and maintain integrated plans and schedules such that shutdown and operational teams can execute appropriate tasks. You will develop and maintain work packs that enable the above to occur and issue regular reports in line with business objectives. 

Your accountabilities will include the following:

• Effectively plan all aspects of  shutdown works and any other works associated  as required
• Effectively work with all  contractors ensuring positive working relationships with  high productivity and quality achieved from the team
• Ensure that systems and procedures are utilised by the contractors and FMG employees ensuring a zero harm environment
• Work closely with the  Maintenance teams in regards to scheduling and coordinating shutdown and remedial work
• Develop, review and implement  shutdown works procedures and SWI's
• Review and manage contractors daily site reports
• Plan accurate and timely shutdown plans so as to maximise the efficiency of the operations by minimising the downtime and maximising executable tasks

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Trade qualification with proven experience in a similar role.
• Front line management is desirable
• Experience in the maintenance of fixed plant
• Shutdown scheduling and assembly of work-packs
• Shutdown supervision.
• Application and use of  CMMS maintenance management systems (i.e. JDE, SAP, MIMS)
• A minimum of 5 years post trade work experience in a Port / open cut
