Salary:  $89,454 - $98,411 (Grade 18) + 9% super

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and highly experienced WHS professional with a proven track record in managing WHS for a high risk and diverse workforce.

You will be responsible for organisational leadership in ensuring Council meets its Work Health and Safety, Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation obligations in accordance with the relevant legislation, policies and Australian Standards.

You will have experience in developing, implementing and managing both strategic and operational aspects of an WHSR system.

To be considered for this position you will need to have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety / Workplace health and safety
• Demonstrated experience working in a senior WHS management position
• Solid experience in accident and incident investigation
• Experience in the completion of an WHS review and audits
• Demonstrated experience in participating in, leading, facilitating and motivating teams and individuals
• Demonstrated knowledge of the change process and the ability to facilitate change with respect to the impact on individuals and the organisation.
