CH2M HILL Senior Engineer-Diver/Project Manager – New York, New York

The challenge? Our Senior Engineer-Diver/Project Management career path is your chance to work on exciting and engaging medium to large-scale Maritime projects. This role will fulfill a leadership position within engineering diving and rehabilitative design for the maritime business group. The principal function of this position is to evaluate marine structures worldwide through above and underwater engineering inspections and to develop detailed reports and design repairs as required. Additional responsibilities will include serving as the Project Manager or Deputy Project Manager for waterfront inspection and rehabilitation projects in NY Harbor. The ideal candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge. These points should align with the key areas of responsibility: Diving Experience with certification as a Recreational Scuba Diver a minimum requirement; commercial Diving Experience and ADC Certification preferred but not required; excellent writing and communication skills required (samples of writing to be provided by applicants); and US Citizenship preferred. The minimum requirements include a PE License (approved to sit for PE Exam potentially acceptable); 5+ years of professional experience in Civil/Structural Engineering or Construction; 2+ years experience in Structural Condition Assessment and Inspection; 2+ years as Team Leader-Project Engineer. Potential applicants must be currently located or willing to relocate to the NY Metro area.

Our Senior Engineer-Diver/Project Managers:

· Conduct site investigation as Team Leader of Inspection Team 

· Analyze deteriorated components 

· Assess remaining capacities 

· Develop detailed reports

· Design repair alternatives

· Develop contract documents

· Project oversight including schedule, quality, invoicing, and cash collection

Basic Qualifications

• PE License (approved to sit for PE Exam potentially acceptable)
• 5+ years of professional experience in Civil/Structural Engineering or Construction
• 2+ years experience in Structural Condition Assessment and Inspection
• 2+ years as Team Leader-Project Engineer
• Potential applicants must be currently located or willing to relocate to the NY Metro area.

Preferred Qualifications
