Job description:

This will suit a people based engineer with a passion for the production environment and someone who enjoys a variety of interactions on site including senior management and contractors. It requires someone that is techncial strong with a production/planning mix.

The role will span a few technically stimulating areas instead of pigeon holeing in one particular facet of the operation...  

  • Drilling and blasting practices, procedures, timing and analysis –designing drill patterns and broader mine development plans
  • Identifying the best extraction methods and sequences for production optimisation.
  • Primary and Secondary Ventilation duties, incorporating design/monitoring of ventilation systems –rotational basis
  • Short and medium term planning geared towards driving production targets

Strong performance in a role like this where your are exposed and integral to the production programme in a variety of areas will set you up to be a well experienced senior quite quickly.
