Position Summary
· The ability to provide and design operational criteria to the mining teams within water management facilities, pits, dumps, and infrastructure foundations and other ongoing operational needs.
· The ability to manage, lead and develop the mine site mining team in a safe work environment
· The ability to schedule, plan, optimize, and develop sequence phases, of road design, equipment selection, and project cost estimation.
· The ability to manage contractors and consultants with the overall mine operations
· Have a strong background in for, regulatory applications for operational need.
· Strong background in health, safety and environmental with respects to environmental standards, safety procedures, health programs for mines
Qualifications:
· Degree in Mine Engineering
· Registered Professional Engineer
· 8+ years mine engineering experience
· A thorough knowledge of mine planning systems is essential
· Knowledgeable in computerized pit optimization and design
· Strong computer, organizational and interpersonal skills, exceptional reporting and presentation skills
