Job description:

It is essentially a Production Engineer role reporting into the Technical Services Manager. The Tech Services team is relatively small so your role will be very diverse, you will be working with a few other production engineer and a couple of Scheduling Engineers too. The Manager and Superintendent have both been on site for over 6 years so there is plenty of experience there to help you get on your feet.

Your responsibilities will include:

Project based work with the objective of prolonging the LOM… The LOM is currently set at 2016 and plans are in place to take it past 2020.
Designing blast patterns for the Open Pit mine
Communicating the plan with the Production, Geology and Survey Departments to discuss priorities, responsibilities and requirements

Work for a top tier mining company with future opportunities in corporate and site based roles. Management do not recruit Senior Engineers as they prefer to recruit Mining Engineers and internally promote their Seniors so your career path is clearly mapped out for you.
