PURPOSE: The IT Systems Analyst performs a variety of tasks such as responding to and resolving issues with computer systems (Server, Storage, Networks, Telecom accurately, effectively and in a timely manner. The IT Systems Analyst monitors system conditions, manages call queues, and performs proactive preventative maintenance tasks remotely. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Shift work required as part of 7x24x365 support organization (evening, weekends and holidays are standard).
- Ensures that all aspects of Newmont’s global IT infrastructure are supported and maintained to meet SLA commitments. This would include, but not be limited to tasks such as:
- System and Application Access control/Account creation.
- Network administration and troubleshooting (WAN, LAN and WiFi).
- Exchange Mailbox creation.
- Telephony administration.
- Log Management.
- General Citrix troubleshooting.
- Security and Identity Administration.
- Print Management.
- Name resolution services (DNS, DHCP, WINS, etc).
- File Management (restores, archival, permissions, etc).
- Storage expansion/allocation.
- Password resets.
- Remote server troubleshooting (Windows, Unix, Linux).
- Firewall policy changes.
- Applying Security Patches.
- Responding to Monitoring Alerts.
- Restoration of service.
- Scheduled preventative maintenance.
- Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Able to promptly answer support related email, phone calls and system generated alerts.
- Good communications skills (verbal and written), fluency in Spanish a plus.
- Create and maintain technical and functional documentation according to Newmont standards.
- Design, follow and optimize standard Procedures/processes as part of the day to day operations.
- Good troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Responsible for ensuring that regional infrastructure documentation is accurate and maintained on a timely basis.
- Tracks related IT issues, coordinates resolution and responsible for driving issues to closure.
- Participation in various IT projects as needed.
- Promote and adhere to Newmont’s methodologies, policies, procedures and standards. Maintain a consistent high quality of work across all responsibilities.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Education:
- University Degree or equivalent experience.
- Technical certifications a plus.
- Experience:
- 5-7 years’ experience in technical HW and Software support role.
- Strong mix of customer service, communications, and technical skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in supporting at least 3 (three) of the following technologies:

- Basic network administration (Cisco)
- Basic IPT/PBX administrations (Avaya, Cisco)
- MS Windows Server
- VM Ware
- Citrix XENAPP
- Unix/Linux, Exchange
- SMS/SCCM
- MS Office
- CA Monitoring Tools
- CA Service Desk/ITSM toolset
- Self-motivated, detail oriented and organized.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with vendors, subordinates, colleagues, clients and customers at all levels.
- Ability to communicate in Spanish a plus.
- Has an overall understanding of the objectives and functions of the company, business units and departments serviced by IT.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project) and Visio.
